Explanation

Krishna says this wisdom is not abstract theory. It can be practiced, experienced, and verified through inner change.

Read the traditional commentary

Krishna crowns this teaching with regal titles: rajavidya, the king of all knowledge, and rajaguhya, the king of secrets. Of every truth one might learn, this stands sovereign — because it concerns not facts about the world but the very ground of being. It is pavitram, the supreme purifier, washing away the deep stains of ignorance.

What makes this knowledge unique is that it is pratyaksha-avagamam — directly realisable, verifiable in one's own experience rather than taken on hearsay. And though it is the loftiest of truths, Krishna calls it susukham kartum, 'easy to practise.' The path of loving devotion he is about to describe does not demand harsh austerities; it asks only a turned heart. Being avyayam, imperishable, its fruit never decays.
