Explanation
Sanjaya names the source of his blessing. By the grace of the sage Vyasa, who granted him divine sight, he has heard this supreme secret of yoga directly from Yogeshvara — Krishna, the Lord of Yoga — speaking it Himself.
Sanjaya gratefully acknowledges the chain of grace that made this possible: the teaching came from the Lord, transmitted through the grace of his guru Vyasa. He marks two precious facts — that it is the highest yoga, and that he received it sakshat, directly from the divine speaker.
The verse models humility and gratitude, recognizing that access to sacred truth is itself a gift passed through teacher and Lord alike. We receive wisdom not by our own merit but through grace flowing down a living lineage.
