यथाकाशस्थितो नित्यं वायुः सर्वत्रगो महान् | तथा सर्वाणि भूतानि मत्स्थानीत्युपधारय ||९-६||
yathākāśasthito nityaṃ vāyuḥ sarvatrago mahān . tathā sarvāṇi bhūtāni matsthānītyupadhāraya ||9-6||

9.6 As the mighty wind, moving everywhere, rests always in the ether, even so, know thou that all beings rest in Me.

To make the abstract teaching tangible, Krishna offers a luminous image. The wind blows in every direction, vast and restless, yet it always moves within akasha — space, the all-pervading ether. The wind is held by space but never confines it; space remains pure, untouched, even as the wind rushes through it.
In just this way, all beings move and act within the Divine. We live and breathe inside that infinite, unbroken presence, dependent on it as the wind depends on space — yet our turbulence never disturbs its serenity. The simile gently dissolves the earlier paradox: things rest in God much as wind rests in sky. He asks Arjuna to upadharaya, to hold this firmly in mind, so that it becomes a settled conviction rather than a fleeting idea.

9.5 Nor do beings exist in Me (in reality); behold My divine Yoga, supporting all beings, but not dwelling in them, is My Self, the efficient cause of beings.
मयाध्यक्षेण प्रकृतिः सूयते सचराचरम् | हेतुनानेन कौन्तेय जगद्विपरिवर्तते ||९-१०||
mayādhyakṣeṇa prakṛtiḥ sūyate sacarācaram . hetunānena kaunteya jagadviparivartate ||9-10||
9.10 Under Me as supervisor, Nature produces the moving and the unmoving; because of this, O Arjuna, the world revolves.
