Chapter 3, Verse 28
तत्त्ववित्तु महाबाहो गुणकर्मविभागयोः | गुणा गुणेषु वर्तन्त इति मत्वा न सज्जते ||३-२८||
tattvavittu mahābāho guṇakarmavibhāgayoḥ . guṇā guṇeṣu vartanta iti matvā na sajjate ||3-28||

3.28 But he who knows the Truth, O mighty-armed (Arjuna), about the divisions of the alities and (their) functions, knowing that the Gunas as senses move amidst the Gunas as the sense-objects, is not attached.

Explanation & Commentary
Krishna describes the vision of the tattva-vit, the knower of truth. Such a person understands the workings of the gunas and their functions, seeing clearly that it is the gunas in the form of the senses interacting with the gunas in the form of sense-objects. Nature is simply engaging with itself.
From this standpoint of clear discernment, na sajjate — he is not attached. He acts, perceives, and engages, yet stands as the witnessing Self, distinct from the play of qualities. This is the practical fruit of the previous verse's insight. Rather than identifying with every sensation, craving, or deed as 'mine,' the wise observe the dance of nature with serene detachment. This does not make them cold or passive; it makes them free. They participate fully in life while no longer being enslaved by its pulls, abiding in the calm awareness behind all activity.

यज्ञार्थात्कर्मणोऽन्यत्र लोकोऽयं कर्मबन्धनः | तदर्थं कर्म कौन्तेय मुक्तसङ्गः समाचर ||३-९||
yajñārthātkarmaṇo.anyatra loko.ayaṃ karmabandhanaḥ . tadarthaṃ karma kaunteya muktasaṅgaḥ samācara ||3-9||
3.9 The world is bound by actions other than those performed for the sake of sacrifice; do thou, therefore, O son of Kunti (Arjuna), perform action for that sake (for sacrifice alone), free from attachment.
