तस्मात्सर्वेषु कालेषु मामनुस्मर युध्य च | मय्यर्पितमनोबुद्धिर्मामेवैष्यस्यसंशयः (orसंशयम्) ||८-७||

tasmātsarveṣu kāleṣu māmanusmara yudhya ca . mayyarpitamanobuddhirmāmevaiṣyasyasaṃśayaḥ ||8-7||

Meaning

8.7 Therefore at all times remember Me only and fight. With mind and intellect fixed (or absorbed) in Me, thou shalt doubtessly come to Me alone.

Explanation & Commentary

This is among the most practical verses in the entire Gita. Krishna draws the conclusion from the preceding teaching: since the final thought is shaped by habitual remembrance, therefore (tasmat) remember Me at all times — and fight. Remembrance and action are joined in a single breath: mam anusmara yudhya cha.

Notice that Krishna does not ask Arjuna to abandon his duty and retreat to meditate. The path he offers is the integration of the spiritual and the worldly: keep the heart anchored in the Divine while the hands perform their work. With mind and intellect surrendered to the Lord (mayy arpita-mano-buddhih), even the battlefield becomes a place of worship. This is the secret of karma yoga — we need not choose between God-remembrance and responsibility. Done together, ordinary action is transfigured into a continuous offering, and the soul moves unfailingly toward its source.

8.5 And whosoever, leaving the body, goes forth remembering Me alone, at the time of death, he attains My Being: there is no doubt about this.

ओमित्येकाक्षरं ब्रह्म व्याहरन्मामनुस्मरन् | यः प्रयाति त्यजन्देहं स याति परमां गतिम् ||८-१३||

omityekākṣaraṃ brahma vyāharanmāmanusmaran . yaḥ prayāti tyajandehaṃ sa yāti paramāṃ gatim ||8-13||

8.13 Uttering the one-syllabled Om the Brahman and remembering Me, he who departs, leaving the body, attains to the Supreme Goal.
