Chapter 18, Verse 68

य इदं परमं गुह्यं मद्भक्तेष्वभिधास्यति | भक्तिं मयि परां कृत्वा मामेवैष्यत्यसंशयः ||१८-६८||

ya idaṃ paramaṃ guhyaṃ madbhakteṣvabhidhāsyati . bhaktiṃ mayi parāṃ kṛtvā māmevaiṣyatyasaṃśayaḥ ||18-68||

Meaning

18.68 He who with supreme devotion to Me will teach this supreme secret to My devotees, shall doubtlessly come to Me.

Explanation & Commentary

Krishna praises the one who shares this teaching. Whoever, with supreme devotion to Him, imparts this profound secret to fellow devotees shall, without doubt, come to Him.

Here the path of teaching itself becomes an act of love and a means of liberation. To pass on sacred wisdom in a spirit of devotion is to serve both God and others, and it draws the teacher ever nearer to the Divine. The word asamshaya, 'without doubt,' underscores the certainty of the reward. 18.30 The intellect which knows the path of work and renunciation, what ought to be done and what ought not to be done, fear and fearlessness, bondage and liberation that intellect is Sattvic (pure), O Arjuna.

कृषिगौरक्ष्यवाणिज्यं वैश्यकर्म स्वभावजम् | परिचर्यात्मकं कर्म शूद्रस्यापि स्वभावजम् ||१८-४४||

kṛṣigaurakṣyavāṇijyaṃ vaiśyakarma svabhāvajam . paricaryātmakaṃ karma śūdrasyāpi svabhāvajam ||18-44||

18.44 Agriculture, cattle-rearing and trade are the duties of the Vaisya (merchant), born of (their own) nature; and action consisting of service is the duty of the Sudra (servant-class), born of (their own) nature.
