अर्जुन उवाच | मदनुग्रहाय परमं गुह्यमध्यात्मसंज्ञितम् | यत्त्वयोक्तं वचस्तेन मोहोऽयं विगतो मम ||११-१||

11.1 Arjuna said By this word (explanation) of the highest secret concerning the Self which Thou hast spoken, for the sake of blessing me, my delusion is gone.

Chapter eleven opens with Arjuna acknowledging a transformation. The teaching Krishna has given is called paramam guhyam — the highest secret — and adhyatma-samjnitam, the knowledge of the Self. Arjuna recognises that this was spoken mad-anugrahaya, purely out of grace toward him, not as abstract philosophy but as a personal blessing.
The key word is moha — delusion — the same bewilderment that paralysed him in chapter one. He now declares it vigatah, gone. Yet this clearing is intellectual: he has understood with the mind. The very next verses show he still hungers for direct vision. The Gita honours this — conceptual clarity is real progress, but the heart often needs to see what the mind has accepted. त्वमक्षरं परमं वेदितव्यं त्वमस्य विश्वस्य परं निधानम् | त्वमव्ययः शाश्वतधर्मगोप्ता सनातनस्त्वं पुरुषो मतो मे ||११-१८||
tvamakṣaraṃ paramaṃ veditavyaṃ tvamasya viśvasya paraṃ nidhānam . tvamavyayaḥ śāśvatadharmagoptā sanātanastvaṃ puruṣo mato me ||11-18||
11.18 Thou art the Imperishable, the Supreme Being, worthy to be known. Thou art the great treasure-house of this universe; Thou art the imperishable protector of the eternal Dhrama; Thou art the Primal Person, I deem.
