Explanation & Commentary

The narration shifts to Sanjaya, who reports the unfolding scene to the blind king Dhritarashtra far away. He calls Krishna maha-yogesvara, the great Lord of Yoga, and Hari, the one who removes sin and sorrow. With these titles he prepares the listener for something beyond the ordinary: the param rupam aisvaram, the supreme majestic form, is now revealed.

This single verse is a hinge. Everything Krishna promised in the previous lines now actually happens. The teaching becomes event; the word becomes sight. There is a quiet reminder here too — that Sanjaya himself, by Vyasa's grace, is witnessing this through a divine vision, and even the unworthy Dhritarashtra is being offered the account. The Divine reveals itself when the time is ripe, and the very telling of that revelation carries something of its power to all who listen with attention.

💡 Key Takeaway

When the seeker is ready and the moment is ripe, the Divine reveals itself fully and without reserve.
