Meaning
18.62 Fly unto Him for refuge with all thy being, O Arjuna; by His grace thou shalt obtain supreme peace (and) the eternal abode.
Word-by-Word Meaning
Explanation & Commentary
Flowing from the previous verse, Krishna gives the natural response to the indwelling Lord: take refuge in Him alone, sarva-bhavena — with your whole being, every fiber of yourself. By His grace you will attain supreme peace and the eternal abode.
The phrase 'with all thy being' is the heart of it. This is not a partial, hedged surrender but a total entrusting of oneself — body, mind, will, and love — to the Divine within. And the fruit promised is the highest: para shanti, the peace beyond all understanding, and a permanent home in the Eternal. Where the previous verse described our condition, this one gives the remedy: wholehearted refuge transforms the puppet of maya into the beloved of God.
💡 Key Takeaway
Take refuge in the Divine with your whole being, and grace will give you supreme peace and an eternal home.
