Chapter 1, Verse 41

अधर्माभिभवात् कृष्ण प्रदुष्यन्ति कुलस्त्रियः। स्त्रीषु दुष्टासु वार्ष्णेय जायते वर्णसङ्करः।।

adharmābhibhavāt kṛṣṇa praduṣyanti kula-striyaḥ strīṣu duṣṭāsu vārṣṇeya jāyate varṇa-saṅkaraḥ

Meaning

When unrighteousness prevails, O Krishna, the women of the family become corrupted; and when women are corrupted, O descendant of Vrishni, an intermixing of social orders arises.

In the ancient world, the social protections offered to women were entirely dependent on the living men of their household and the stability of social institutions. Arjuna is describing the real consequence of social collapse in his era: the most vulnerable suffer most. पश्यैतां पाण्डुपुत्राणामाचार्य महतीं चमूम्। व्यूढां द्रुपदपुत्रेण तव शिष्येण धीमता।।

paśyaitāṁ pāṇḍu-putrāṇām ācārya mahatīṁ camūm vyūḍhāṁ drupada-putreṇa tava śiṣyeṇa dhīmatā

O teacher, behold this mighty army of the sons of Pandu, so skilfully arrayed by the son of Drupada — your own talented student.
